Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

Tim RouseOn November 20, 2008 I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with Tim Rouse from FGI International on the subject of leadership. Tim is President, and co-founder of FGI International, an Omaha firm specializing in leadership development for the global economy. FGI International, originally an organizational development consulting firm, worked for many years with major US clients in mergers/acquisitions, strategic restructuring, process re-design and performance management.

During the past 12 years, Tim and his business partner, Carol Hunter, have given priority to working with multinational corporations engaged in the global economy. Developing leaders in the US, Russia and China has become their passion and brings focused meaning and purpose to FGI International. FGI International celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2008.

Rouse holds degrees from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has done additional work at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. In 1992, he was honored by Creighton with the Alumni Merit Award.

Here are some of Tim’s favorite quotes:

“The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer (German Lutheran Pastor and Theologian. His involvement in a plot to overthrow Adolf Hitler led to his imprisonment and execution. 1906-1945)

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
